Something Sweet & Surprising

Rum Cake with Rum & Tamarind Buttercream Frosting
I was craving something naughty & out of the ordinary. This combination was out of the ordinary for sure and surprisingly good. I used a yellow cake mix & added a tsp of Rum extract. I added a tsp of Rum flavoring, tsp of tamarind paste and red food coloring to a basic butter cream recipe. Don't you ♥ the bohemian cupcake papers I found at Michael's?

Why yes, I do. tee hee. Looks good and you've actually enticed me to make some cupcakes. Not many, just a few because it's only us two. I do have some cake mix and I'll make some cream cheese frosting. Ooooh la la.:)) Have a great week, have to go take care of errands before I commence to the kitchen. Gimmee cupcake, gimmee cupcake, gimmee cupcake. Oh, so sorry. Got carried away there. Tee hee.

O.K., I'll admit it. The word "rum" caught my attention. Probably not a good sign early on a Monday morning! Sounds delish! I'm putting this one on the side to try later in the week. (We're working on left-over B-Day cakes today. (Yep, that was a plural on the cakes.)
